The FFG ASAP project Land@Slide started with a kick-off meeting at the Department of Geoinformatics – Z_GIS in Salzburg on April 22. Z_GIS, GRID-IT and the Geologische Bundesanstalt (GBA) discussed the project plan together with a representative from the FFG. The project aims at developing automated object-based image analysis (OBIA) routines for landslide mapping that will be implemented in a web-based service. The results produced by shall support authorities with relevant information such as the location and spatial extent of landslides and the automated identification of landslide-affected infrastructure.
